The legendary husband-and-wife team of Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr. has entertained America together and individually - since they first met as members of the enormously successful rock group, The Original 5th Dimension. Since then this couple's career has encompassed platinum albums, 8 Grammy awards, Broadway plays, TV series and specials and sold-out international tours. After years of great success with The 5th Dimension, Marilyn craved a solo career. She and husband, Billy Davis, Jr., decided to leave the group. Initially they planned to perform solo but they seemed destined to work together.
In 1977 they produced their own television show called The Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr. Show on CBS. Her combined record sales as a solo artist, as a member of the 5th Dimension and with her husband, Billy Davis, Jr., ranks her among the top ten black female vocalists of the rock era. From presidential galas to performances for the Pope to television specials and live concerts, Marilyn is on stage all over the world.
Marilyn ignites the stage when she is performing any of her best songs such as the romantic Wedding Bell Blues.
